Greetings
Tosa IT Council is a non-profit organization supporting the creation of a safe and comfortable community for foreign residents living in Shikoku. In 2020, many foreign residents in Japan were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for foreign residents who were not yet used to living in Japan, many did not know a Japanese person they could easily consult for advice. We would like to be a consulting partner for foreigners living in Japan. To do so, we will meet directly with foreigners and listen to their stories and problems. We will also use information technology services to extend our hand to those who cannot come meet us in person, and provide them with advice. Our goal will be use their voices and their experiences, listening to their problems in work or in their daily lives, to make Shikoku a more comfortable place for foreigners and Japanese to live in.
As people of various nationalities and cultures are expected to congregate in Shikoku in the future, we believe that understanding and appreciating our cultural differences will lead to the development of Shikoku.
On this site, we have prepared a "Contact Us" page for foreign residents. If you are a foreign resident living in Japan and have any problems in your daily life, please let us know. We also welcome comments from Japanese people who have ideas on improving lives of foreign residents in Japan. We appreciate your cooperation.

What is the Tosa IT Council?
The Bakumatsu period in which Sakamato Ryoma, the famous visionary, lived, left behind a great contribution to the dawn of modern Japan, leading Japan on a fast track towards globalization. With the passing of the "Revised Immigration Control Act" in April 2019, Japan is embarking on a path of globalization much like it once did at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate. It is expected that people will have more opportunities than ever before to come into contact with a diverse array of cultures. On the other hand, there are many who worry about issues that many arise through a sudden influx of foreigners.
At Tosa IT Council, our goal is to act as a consulting group for foreign residents in Japan to help them with what they may not know and correct them when they make mistakes. Through direct meetings and internet communication, we hope to expand our activities and contribute to the improvement of community development in Kochi Prefecture and Shikoku.
